Darß Museum
The Darß museum was founded in 1953 as a landscape museum for the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula. In addition, there are exhibits on the fauna and flora, the national park exhibition, the sailor’s room, and a presentation of the geological development.
Natural Area of ‘Darßer Ort’ with Lighthouse
The outpost of the Sea Museum of Stralsund is found in the lighthouse building of the 35m high lighthouse called “Darßer Ort”, which is under monumental protection. Exhibitions such as “The natural area of Darßer Ort” and “Lighthouse History” can be viewed daily. It is possible to tour the tower in the high season daily, and from Wednesday to Sunday in the low season.

In the venue of the spa resort, more than 100 multifaceted events take place from March to October under the motto of “Cabaret in the captain’s house”.
Sailors’ Church in Prerow
The sailor’s church was constructed in 1726/27 and is surrounded by a cemetery with ancient sailors’ gravestones. Furthermore, concerts and other events are often held here in the evenings.
Artists’ Colony in Ahrenshoop
In the last decade of the 19th century, some painters discovered the rural seclusion and idyllic countryside around Ahrenshoop for themselves and founded an artists’ colony. Today, the houses of the artists are under monumental protection.
Kunstkaten in Ahrenshoop
The painters Paul Müller-Kaempf, Theobald Schorn and Fritz Wachenhusen had the Kunstkaten built in 1909 in the style of a Fischland house with a reed roof. Not only artists from Ahrenshoop used the exhibition possibilities that were thus created, but from the entire country as well.
