Darß Primeval Forest and Weststrand
The Darß peninsula is mostly covered with the uniquely beautiful and almost unspoiled Darß primeval forest. The large 4700 hectare forest, which is in the immediate vicinity of Prerow and Born, has a 50 km long network of hiking, cycling, riding, and carriage paths running through it. The west includes the romantic Weststrand, which is marked by the wind and waves.
Barth and the South Bodden Coast
Situated picturesquely between Rostock and Stralsund at the Barth Bodden, Barth has outstanding sailing and surfing areas inside the Bodden Chain and it has access to the Baltic Sea. It opens up the extensive, historical and cultural inheritance of an old seafarers' town to you.
Zingst
The holiday guests of the Baltic Sea resort were called “Luftsnappers” (low German for air catchers) even 117 years ago. Rightly so, because in Zingst, there is a mild and stimulating climate with clear and pure air. During the course of the decades, the Baltic Sea resort at the entrance to the 20 km long but only 2 km wide peninsula of the old seafarer and fishing town developed into a well-known Baltic Sea spa area. Nevertheless, Zingst has by no means lost its rustic character.
Spa Born a. Darß
The entrance to the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft national park located at Saaler Bodden and Koppelstrom invites you to extended walks and adventuresome bicycle tours in the Darß forest. Visit the wild and romantic Darß Weststrand beach for ample swimming fun or visit the Borner Bülten, which are flat and reedy islands in Bodden.
Wieck a. Darß
This is a former fishing village with a small port at Bodenstädter Bodden. From there, it is possible to tour the Darß region by foot or bicycle. For example, tour with a Zeesen boat on the Bodden waters of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft national park.
