On 12 km of walking trails, you can stroll along rows of trees and idyllic streams to the most beautiful vantage points on the sunny mountain plateau. From morning and evening walks to moonlight and family strolls, these comfortable walking trails are perfect for any time of day. Our secret tip: the two walking routes through the Wengerwinkel and through the mountain pastures above Werfenweng are among Austria’s most beautiful hiking trails.

• Speedliner 80 km/h: 400 m long, 80 km/h fast and 50 m above the ground – pure adrenaline!
• Woodland: high-ropes course & Flying X area with six different courses, including mini courses for children aged four years and over.
• Mountain cart: ride the Köpfl Flitzer toboggan run from the mountain down into the valley – fun for the whole family!
• Puschl’s Rätselberg: an exciting kids’ hiking trail leading to the summit cross, with fun puzzle stations along the way.
• Panorama hotspot: enjoy the best views of the Tennen Mountains and the Hochkönig from the relaxation loungers and chilled-out rest areas.
• Culinary delights in the ‘Auszeit’ panorama restaurant: home-cooked treats and breathtaking views make this the perfect place to grab a snack and relax – a mountain experience at its finest!

The Bischling is also one of the most popular spots for paragliders and hang-gliders. Climbing in Werfenweng will take you to new heights. The Tennen Mountains have a lot to offer for climbers, especially beginners. At the Werfener Hütte, for example, you’ll find a climbing facility with 10 routes at various levels of difficulty, making it an ideal Alpine training area for trying out the sport or ‘warming up’. In the Werfener Hütte area, there is also a range of routes for beginners, along with challenges for seasoned climbers. The surrounding area also has a lot to offer for avid climbers, as the Salzburger Land region is home to many varied climbs to conquer.  And on rainy days, you can simply go to the Werfen climbing centre!

You also have access to the OPEN GOLF St. Johann Alpendorf facility, located in St. Johann in Pongau, not far from Bergresort Werfenweng. This facility consists of two 9-hole courses: the 9-hole tournament course and the 9-hole training course. With two different courses, this facility is perfect for golfers of all abilities. Beginners will feel more comfortable on the Orange Course, while club golfers will feel at home on the Blue Course.
