Cross-country skiing, snowshoe walks and winter hikes
Enjoy a leisurely cross-country ski trip away from the hustle and bustle of the slopes.
Three trails with a total length of 50 km await guests in the Kleinwalsertal free of charge. Cross-country trails for beginners and slopes on which your vitality is measured according to your heart rate. You can book cross-country skiing classes and rent equipment locally.
Snowshoe walks and winter hikes
More than 50 kilometres of winter hiking trails await you in the idyllic Kleinwalsertal region. Special rates are available for passengers without gear.
Tobogganing
The Kleinwalsertal offers endless tobogganing fun for all the family. Six specially prepared toboggan runs and two dedicated tobogganists’ lifts promise lots of laughs all day long. Have a go at our winter fun sports. Hop on a snow bike, ski fox or snow scooter to experience winter sports with a twist!
Ski touring
There are two ways to get to the summit. Most choose the comfortable option: a lift or gondola. Others prefer to break a sweat and earn themselves the view from the top. Climb up the slopes step by step as the mountains around you gradually reveal themselves in all their glory. After the taxing ascent, reward yourself by zipping back down into the valley through the deep snow. Take note of weather and avalanche forecasts, and make sure to take the right equipment (including avalanche gear)!
Free-riding
Powder snow well into April? Absolutely: the ‘secret’ free-riding world of the Kleinwalsertal’s tributary valleys makes it possible. You had better ride with a guide: don't underestimate free-riding. Only the professional guides of the mountain and ski schools know the region and its conditions perfectly. Never set out without avalanche gear. You can ask for guides and free-riding courses at our reception desk.
