Sailing Adventure

Romantic sailing trips: discover the island of Usedom from a completely different perspective – stunning cliffs and the expansive Achterwasser lagoon await. The ‘Weisse Düne’ will set sail again in May 2021. The stunning schooner ‘Weisse Düne’ was built in Meppel (NL) in 1909. Until 2003, the ship plied the waters of the Dutch and German Wadden Sea. Since April 2004, the ship’s home port has been Wolgast on the calm Achterwasser lagoon. 440 m² of sail & 46 m in length add up to pure sailing bliss. There are regular tours in the summer season.

  • Day trips from Neppermin, Peenemünde and Wolgast incl. small on-board snack, every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm between May and September, from EUR 67.00 per person.
  • Evening trips from Neppermin, Peenemünde and Wolgast, incl. small on-board snack, every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm between May and September, from EUR 67.00 per person.
  • Dinner trips from Neppermin incl. three-course meal and on-board accordion music every Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm between June and September from EUR 85.00 per person.

Shuttle service: Weisse Düne offers a transport service for all trips to and from Neppermin for EUR 6.00 per person. You will be picked up from your hotel and dropped off after the sailing tour.

Curing and Healing Forest

One worthwhile destination for nature lovers is the Curing and Healing Forest in Heringsdorf. Dotted throughout the forest area are healing forest stations and paths, including a sensory trail, motor-skills trails and poetry trail – all of varying lengths and difficulty levels.

The roughly 187 hectares of coastal forest are perfect for long walks and good talks with your loved ones or a scenic bike trip, which is best started from the Strandidyll Heringsdorf. The mix of sea and forest air, in particular, makes the coastal forest a fantastic natural remedy. The air creates a pleasant, bracing climate that benefits your skin and your airways. Then, on Präsidentenberg, a beautiful expansive panorama of the Baltic Sea awaits you.

Golf

Amid the idyllic landscapes of the island of Usedom lie the two golf courses Balmer See and Baltic Hills. Both courses cater to advanced golfers and are open to anyone with a golf license (HCP -54). So variety is assured in Usedom. Surrounded by spectacular natural scenery, Golfpark Balm is ideally situated on the Achterwasser. The 120-hectare grounds feature a championship course (2 x 18-hole) catering to advanced players. Baltic Hills Usedom is a 19-hole golf course (incl. mulligan hole) – beautifully situated in a unique natural setting. Guests in Ostseebad Heringsdorf can enjoy a few rounds in a laid-back atmosphere without travelling too far. The course is only about 10 minutes by car from the hotel.

Our services for your golf holiday:
20% green-fee discount as our hotel guest, preferred tee times, shuttle to the two golf courses (fees apply), storage option for your clubs and gear, reserved start times and pro hours, organisation of individual golf lessons.
