Summer of art in Bad Gastein: Hotel Badeschloss is an official partner of the sommer.frische.kunst. Festival 2024
Opening brunch at the Travel Charme Hotel
Bad Gastein, 27 June 2024 - Art is as much a part of Bad Gastein as the impressive waterfall and the Belle Époque houses. That's why the sommer.frische.kunst. Festival and the art fair art:badgastein invites international artists and art lovers to the spa town over the summer months for the 14th time. This year, the Travel Charme Hotel Badeschloss is taking part in the festival with a partnership and is hosting the official opening brunch.
Under this year's motto "Heritage meets Future", the 2024 art festival in Bad Gastein will once again bridge the gap between the heritage of the historic meeting place for artists such as Thomas Mann and Gustav Klimt and today's festival for contemporary art. Almost 200 international artists will present their works and combine the fairytale Belle Époque architecture and the impressive mountain panorama of the town with modern exhibits.
The motto is also reflected in the Hotel Badeschloss: with the comprehensive revitalisation of the historic building last year and the playful implementation of traditional bathing culture, the hotel combines two worlds into one. The hotel, planned by BWM Designers & Architects and winner of the LIV Hospitality and London Design Awards, offers the perfect starting point to immerse yourself in the tension between history and the future thanks to the symbiosis of modern lifestyle and legendary bathhouse charm.
To get the summer festival off to a glorious start, the Hotel Badeschloss is hosting an impressive opening brunch on 13 July 2024 at 11:30 am. To get in the mood for the official kick-off at the Kraftwerk, invited guests will be able to chat to artists, VIPs from the scene and representatives of the press in a relaxed atmosphere. In addition to the presentation of the Hotel Badeschloss and a speech by the hotel director, Andrea von Goetz, curator and organiser of the sommer.frische.kunst. Festival, will give an opening speech to celebrate the start of the festival.
Karl J. Pojer, CEO of DSR Hotel Holding, is also looking forward to the festival in Bad Gastein: "It is a great honour for us to host the opening breakfast of the renowned art festival in our hotel. This year's motto 'Heritage meets Future' harmonises wonderfully with the guiding principle of the past restoration work in the Straubing ensemble 'Working with the layers of the past', in which the combination of modern building elements with historical parts of the two houses has been outstandingly successful. We are therefore particularly pleased to be a partner and organiser of the festival and to welcome so many interested and creative guests to the Hotel Badeschloss."

Summer.fresh.art. Festival 2024
The mission of the sommer.frische.kunst. festival and its founder Andrea von Goetz is to enable guests to experience art in an extraordinary location. Making art and culture visible in everyday spaces helps to break down inhibitions and thus creates the basis for creation. In the midst of the breathtaking mountain landscape of the Austrian Alps and the unique architecture of Bad Gastein, the art festival in summer 2024 will be a journey through time that connects the past and the future. Visitors can look forward to a diverse programme of local and international artists exploring the connection between old and new. The reference to the future is particularly evident in the mainstreaming of artificial intelligence, which, alongside digitalisation, has a significant influence on artistic creation.
