In summer 185 km of hiking trails proceed through blossoming mountain pastures. Seven cable cars, in both Germany and Austria, serve as ascent aids and help many people tackle the summits. With the ‘Bergbahnen Inklusive’ (cable cars inclusive) ticket, nothing stands in the way of a boundless two-country holiday. Its optimum location between 1100 and 2500 metres altitude, along with the well-known summits, such as the Großer Widderstein, the Kanzelwand and the Hoher Ifen make the region attractive to those who hike at a gentle pace and also mountaineers who are looking for action.
A total of six "Genusshütten" in the Kleinwalsertal valley provide sustenance and an insight into agricultural life. Of course it is predominantly regional and seasonal dishes which are served.

There are currently seven designated toque-awarded establishments in Kleinwalsertal valley. The most awarded restaurant, with 3 toques, is located right in the Travel Charme Ifen Hotel. In his toque-awarded restaurant Kilian Stuba, Sascha Kemmerer serves up exceptional dishes made using predominantly local ingredients.
