Pure piste pleasure at Lake Achen
Around Lake Achensee the ski areas, which have a total of 30 ski lifts and 58 kilometres of pistes, tempt you to go skiing. In Achenkirch on the border with Germany, is the Christlum ski area, which has pistes which extend up to 1850 metres altitude. Snow-assuredness is guaranteed during your ski holiday. Several chair lifts, an extensive piste system and its own toboggan run provide some variety for a winter holiday. After skiing you can bring your day to a close with some après-ski. The town of Maurach provides another option for skiing, at the Rofan ski area. With 14 kilometres of pistes and 32 kilometres of slopes, the ski area also provides an ideal setting for a successful day on the piste. On the west banks of Lake Achensee, in Pertisau, the pistes and slopes also tempt you to go skiing too.
Winter holiday in Kleinwalsertal valley
The Kleinwalsertal ski area spans the entire valley and provides unlimited skiing fun in Germany and Austria. The Kleinwalsertal/Oberstdorf ski area is open from the start of December through to the start of May and offers a high level of snow-assuredness during this time. On 120 kilometres of pistes, which are of various difficulty levels, every winter sports lover is well catered for in Kleinwalsertal valley
Those of you who prefer to dedicate your time to cross-country skiing are equally well catered for on the 45 kilometres of slopes in Kleinwalsertal valley. Non-skiers get to speed downhill on five toboggan runs between 150 and 1500 metres in length. So, perfect conditions for every holiday-maker – whether it is to enjoy skiing, snowboarding or sledding.

A perfect starting point to the family-friendly ski area is some 200 metres from the hotel. Where in summer you get to thunder down the mountain in the Mountain Cart and in the Speed Liner, in winter you can practice some gentle turns in the snow. The total of 9 ski lifts and 45 kilometres of pistes are perfectly suited to beginners and those who are at an advanced level alike.
