Corona Infos for Our Guests
Dear Travel Charme Guest,
New regulations to contain the COVID-19 pandemic have come into force.
Our hotels in Austria are open:
Following the orders of the federal government, vaccinated and recovered people may visit our Austrian hotels. This applies to our gastronomy and wellness areas as well. FFP2 masks are mandatory upon arrival as well as in all public areas of the hotels, as well as in lifts and mountain railways.
Persons aged 12 and over need a vaccination or recovery certificate and additionally a PCR test to be allowed entry to Austria. Booster shots exempt from the PCR test obligation. Children of school age may enter with the Ninja Pass or similar testing evidence. The Ifen Hotel in Kleinwalsertal is not affected by this regulation.
Our hotels in Germany are open:
Following the orders of the state governments, visiting our hotels at the Baltic Sea is possible for vaccinated or recovered persons who additionally present a valid PCR test. Visiting our hotel in Wernigerode is possible for vaccinated or recovered persons. This also includes our gastronomy and wellness areas. There are exceptions for guest groups permitted according to the Corona Ordinance.
The health of our guests and staff is still our top priority. Please inform yourself about the current regulations of your hotel before you start your journey.
We are here for you: and are happy to help you find a test centre in your holiday destination at any time. You can find more information in the Corona A-Z of your hotel, which is listed below, or directly at the hotel.

Further Interesting Facts about Our Hotels
Oscar Wilde said, ‘A mask tells us more than a face’ and this applies more than ever in these current times. A mask tells us that you care about and are protecting those around you. That is why there is a mandatory requirement to wear a face mask when entering any of our hotels in Germany and Austria, as is currently the case in all public areas. Mask on, sanitise hands and then enter the hotel lobby!*
Having crowds at check-in has never been a good thing – and that is why it is now banned. Social distancing also applies during potential waiting times at check-in. This is not only safer but also much more pleasant than packed crowds. After you check out, we will obviously disinfect all key cards – that way all new guests can start their holiday knowing everything is spotlessly clean.
We need to smile here with our eyes – meaning that you must wear a face mask in all of our hotels in Germany and in any public areas where you might meet other guests. In our reception areas, our staff will all wear gloves and a face mask. A perspex screen has also been installed to ensure the best possible protection.
In our Austrian hotels, the rules regarding the wearing of face masks have been relaxed. You can find out more on the individual hotel pages, or you can call us directly. Shared responsibility: you need to sanitise your hands using the sanitiser dispensers provided in public areas, and we will regularly disinfect everything else (all surfaces and communal areas).
A lift for you alone: please use the lift on your own, or only with relatives or people you have travelled with.
Your Stay & Rooms
Your personal refuge will certainly be well scrubbed and polished. To ensure that you can feel completely safe and comfortable in your room, it will be intensively cleaned, aired and disinfected after every stay. But that’s not all. Frequently used surfaces, such as light switches and remote controls, will also be disinfected separately – for 100% cleanliness.
As you can see, we are doing everything we can to keep you safe – so please do your bit, too! If you feel unwell, please inform us immediately. That way, we can do everything possible to help you recover quickly and also protect other guests and staff.
We will show you to the best place to sit! Please reserve a table for all of your meals. Everything will be exactly as you want it! All meals will be served à la carte or as a buffet, as the rules vary from region to region. At all locations, we must request that you wear a face mask when using the buffet.
We've all been taught from an early age that we need to wash our hands before a meal, and that’s why we are requesting that you sanitise your hands before coming to the restaurant and then observe social distancing as you wait to be shown to your seat.
Please keep your mask on until you are seated. Once seated at your table, you may remove it. Everyone wants a little privacy as they enjoy a lovely dinner. A minimum distance currently applies between the tables in restaurants and bars – 1.5 metres in Germany and 1 metre in Austria.
No one wants to be kept waiting for their dinner in the restaurant either, especially not so long that their stomach starts to rumble. We will therefore also ensure we adhere to the maximum capacity in our gastronomy facilities.
Spa-, Wellness- & Fitness Area
The wellness area will be available during your stay, in compliance with social distancing and hygiene regulations. The sauna area will be open for you daily but must be booked in advance.
Please check the opening times at the individual hotels. Aerosol-forming equipment, such as steam rooms, hot tubs, hydro-flow systems, ice fountains, etc. will have to remain closed for the time being.
Your most restful holiday ever will then definitely be followed by an equally relaxed check-out. Please observe the distancing rules and check out individually. We have added markings on the floor as a guide and we will try to avoid waiting times.
