Celebrating bathing culture – The Hotel Badeschloss opens on December 1 in Bad Gastein

Built in 1791 against a breathtaking Alpine backdrop, the former bathhouse welcomed great historical personalities as its guests. After almost 20 years of vacancy and three years of refurbishment by the Hirmer Group, it now combines cosmopolitan vibrancy and soothing lightness with a bathing culture steeped in history.

The 102 rooms and suites in the historic Hotel Badeschloss and the modern new building tower can be described metaphorically as "a bath you can sleep in". The bathtubs placed in the windows of the rooms make guests feel like they are in a private spa. They symbolize the theme of "bathing culture" both inside and out. The Alpine Swim Club's spacious spa landscape offers an oasis of bubbling vitality on three floors. The sauna area is equipped with a seraglio bath, Finnish and herbal pine saunas with panoramic windows and a relaxation room, experience showers and an ice fountain. The proverbial crowning glory is an infinity pool with a glass-crystal entrance on the roof, which sets the scene for the entire setting and creates a natural experience that Bad Gastein offers in an incomparable way.
