The largest gingerbread house in Usedom is located at Strandidyll Heringsdorf

• From December 3, the entire library of the Travel Charme Strandidyll Heringsdorf will be transformed into a unique gingerbread house
• After the great response last year, the in-house patisserie team is expanding its baked goods
• Hotel guests, day visitors and local residents can enjoy punch and Christmas cookies amidst decorated gingerbread walls

"After last year's great response, we will make this year's gingerbread house even bigger and dress the entire hotel library in gingerbread," says Marcus Scharon, hotel director of the Travel Charme Strandidyll, looking forward to the upcoming Christmas season.

At 60 square meters, the gingerbread house in Heringsdorf is the largest in the region for the second year in a row. For the makeover, 300 large gingerbread plates will be baked by the in-house patisserie and team to adorn the walls of the room. There will also be gingerbread figures and candy canes made in-house. The idea for the house came from hotel director Marcus Scharon, who wanted to create a special Christmas highlight for guests, visitors and employees based on the American model.

The Gingerbread House at the Travel Charme Strandidyll Heringsdorf will be open daily from December 3, 2023 to January 6, 2024 for visitors and hotel guests from 12 noon to 8 pm.
