Travel Charme Hotels & Resorts receives DtGV seal of approval
Top Employer Hotel & Hospitality Industry 2023/2024
Munich, August 22, 2023 - Travel Charme Hotels & Resorts has been named a Top Employer in the Hotel & Hospitality Industry for 2023 and 2024 by the German Association for Consumer Studies. The industry-specific employer screening, "Top Employers Hotel & Hospitality Industry" of the DtGV pursues the goal of supporting job and change seekers with the selection of their future employer, offering businesses the opportunity to present themselves as an attractive employer.
The focus of the study is on the following three sub-areas: Working conditions, website analysis and applicant handling.
Working conditions
A structured questionnaire with a total of 47 criteria in seven categories is used to collect and evaluate job-relevant information in the hotel and restaurant industry. Points such as the contract framework conditions and employee’s day-to-day work. This includes the management behavior, the offer of additional training opportunities, and company-wide communication and collegiality. In addition, participating companies have the opportunity to secure bonus points with their offer of outstanding employee benefits. Thirty percent of the overall rating is based on "working conditions".
Website analysis
In this section the focus is on reviewing the company’s website by topic, which is carried out by means of desktop research. How transparently do the companies present themselves to potential applicants? How informative are the career pages and respective job advertisements? What development opportunities are offered to employees? In this area, companies also have the opportunity to receive additional bonus points for social commitment, for example. The weighing of this module is thirty percent.
Applicant handling
Applicant handling is examined via active applications from (fictitious) job prospects. The simplicity of the application process, confirmations of receipt, the content of the responses, and clear and well-founded decisions, along with the respective response time, are the main components of this study, accounting for forty percent of the overall rating.
Companies that can be certified as having achieved at least seventy percent of their targets in the overall evaluation at the end of the survey are entitled to bear the DtGV seal of approval, "Top Employer in the Hotel & Catering Industry".
