Badeschloss Opening with Bubbles

Three months after the opening of the Grand Hotel Straubinger, guests will be welcomed back to the bathhouse just opposite for the first time from December 1, 2023. The two houses dominate the iconic Straubingerplatz, the social center of the spa town of Bad Gastein. Built in 1791, the Badeschloss is the oldest of the ensemble of buildings, but with its playful, colorful interior design and clear references to the historical inventory, it stands for young, contemporary bathing and accommodation culture.

Behind the historic facade, the theme of bathing, the DNA of the spa castle and the resort, is interpreted in a modern way. From the lobby and public areas to the 102 rooms and suites in the old and new buildings to the Alpine Swim Club, the element of water plays an omnipresent role visually and symbolically. Whether tiled landscape, implied entrances into the water basin, free-standing (double) bathtubs in the rooms or the symbolic naming of each individually designed accommodations, "the Badeschloss revives the bathing culture in the heart of Bad Gastein. It is a place of encounter and bubbly exchange," says Petra Deuter, managing director and CEO of Travel Charme and Hirmer Hospitality. "We are delighted to open the Badeschloss in time for the Christmas and ski season. With the year-round bookable house, we offer a contemporary alternative to the timeless Grand Hotel Straubinger - and all this in the place where nobles and celebrities met centuries ago for spa and summer retreats."

The culinary center of the Badschloss is the Auntie Heidi restaurant, which serves regional dishes with a cosmopolitan twist in the morning and evening. The Castle Bar, the Fireplace Bar, and separate spaces like the Living Room bring solo travelers, couples, and families together over drinks, snacks, and specialty coffees. A DJ provides the right sound - both on the first floor and in the Alpine Swim Club.

A special spa concept consisting of three power sources was developed for the Alpine Swim Club: On the three spa floors, the three pillars of wellness, Physical Wellness, Mental Wellness and Food Wellness, bring like-minded people together. The Alpine Swim Club includes a sauna area and relaxation rooms as well as a spa and rooftop infinity pool. From the pool on the 14th floor, guests have an unobstructed picture-book view of the picturesque Gastein Valley. The focus is on the holistic approach, where body (e.g. massages, courses, outdoor activities), mind (yoga, floating meditation, breathing techniques) and healthy nutrition (superfood bar, nutritional supplements, nutritional advice) are considered and strengthened equally. Always in harmony with the powerful nature, that surrounds the bath castle. In keeping with the philosophy, the team of therapists’ works with care products from the English clean beauty brand The Organic Pharmacy.

For the holidays, the "Christmas Bubble and New Year's Bubble" offer can be booked over Christmas, on New Year's Eve and/or between the years for at least four consecutive nights. In addition to the breakfast buffet, non-alcoholic drinks in the minibar, free Wi-Fi and use of the
Alpine Swim Club, the Christmas party in the castle bar on December 24, 2023, and/or the New Year's Eve program with New Year's Eve buffet, midnight snack, 1 glass of champagne for toasting and party with DJ on December 31, 2023, are included, depending on arrival.
