Major awards for the Travel Charme Hotels & Resorts Ifen Hotel Kleinwalsertal, Hotel Badeschloss and Grand Hotel Straubinger in Gault&Millau and in La Liste

This is what 2024 tastes like at Carnozet and the Kilian Stuba
While the world still must wait to toast to 2024, Travel Charme Hotels & Resorts, especially the three Austrian hotels Ifen Hotel Kleinwalsertal, Grand Hotel Straubinger and Hotel Badeschloss in Bad Gastein, already have plenty of reasons to start celebrating.

Gault&Millau has just announced in its restaurant guide that it is increasing the toques and points for the Carnozet restaurant in the Ifen Hotel Kleinwalsertal to 2 and 13.5 (from 1 and 12.5 in 2023). The jury's reasoning for the new rating: "Everything seems more nuanced, finer, more refined." The tasted dishes "have proven to be in top form by the team surrounding Sascha Kemmerer ...".

The Kilian Stuba in the Ifen Hotel Kleinwalsertal also received an award. With the same high rating of 2023, 4 toques and 18 points, the restaurant is once again amongst the 25 best in Austria in 2024, according to the Gault&Millau assessment. Even though service and decor are not included in the rating, the personal commitment by the team led by head chef Sascha Kemmerer, who "lovingly" explains every dish, is emphasized.

For the first time, La Liste 2024, in a review of the 1,000 best restaurants in the world, has also included Kilian Stuba with a score of 82.00. This selection is the result of over 600 guides, millions of online reviews and from discerning food critics.

"Hotel whispers" and online recommendations
Gault&Millau has also made hotel recommendations. In the Gault&Millau Hotel Guide, Austria 2024, the Hotel Badeschloss was voted on the "Hotelgeflüster" page. Both the Hotel Badeschloss and the Grand Hotel Straubinger were already announced on the Gault&Millau website for 2024, featuring not only the cuisine, but also about the history of the hotels and their importance for the revitalization of Bad Gastein.

Gault&Millau and La Liste: The source for gourmets
Alongside the Michelin Guide, Gault&Millau is probably the most influential restaurant guide far, reaching beyond the borders of its country of origin, France. Every year since 1969 in France and since 1980 in Austria, up to four toques and a maximum of 20 points have been awarded to outstanding restaurants. Since 2010, even five toques have been awarded in France, and in Austria there have also been "five toques" since 2020. The rating includes not only a list, but also a detailed description of the selected culinary institutions.
